Overview
Depending on the campaign you're building and the entries you're collecting, you may not need your list export to include all of the available fields. To address this, you can create and use an Export Profile. This allows you to select which field data to include in your export and customize the column names for your export file.
Adding and Using a New Export Profile
- Starting from the Lists Manager, select the List you are looking to export entries from.
- Click on the down arrow at the right side, and click on View Entries to open the List in the Entries Manager.
- Click on the Actions button, then select Export Entries.
- Choose either:
- Entries (only entry data), or
- Entries & Uploaded Files (entry data plus file uploads).
- When prompted to choose or create an export profile, select Yes.
- In the Select Export Profile pop-up, click the Add button at the bottom.
-
Add a Profile Name and an optional Profile Description in the provided fields.
-
In the Field Mappings section:
- The fields used to collect data will populate automatically.
- Each field will show its default export heading.
- Not all Fields will be visible. To view all Fields, see Adding a Single Field.
-
To remove a field, click the trash can icon next to it.
- To add additional fields, choose one of two options:
- Add All Standard Fields: Adds all unused standard fields to your export profile. Standard fields are fields that can only be used once in a form. Examples: Name, Email, Address, Upload, Category.
- Add One Field: Allows you to add individual fields. (see Adding a Single Field below)
- Once you’re done adding and removing fields, click Save.
- Click on the name of your new profile to highlight it, then click Select.
- You’ll return to the previous step, where the name of the selected profile will appear in blue.
- Click Next.
- Enter the email address where the export should be sent.
- Click Export & Close.
Adding a Single Field:
- Use the Type dropdown to choose the field type:
- Simple Map: Default option; maps one entry field to one output field.
- Set Constant: Provides the same field data for all exported entries.
- Select the Entry Field (the field you want to include).
- Customize the Output Field Name if you want to rename the column in the .csv file that is exported.
- For Set Constant, enter the value in the Constant Value field.
