Email Analytics

This feature available on the Pro Plan

Overview

Email Analytics provide detailed reports on the performance of the emails you send from your ShortStack account. These analytics track key metrics, including:

  • Emails Sent
  • Open Rate
  • Clicks
  • Unsubscribes

All analytics data can be exported as a PDF for further review.

Getting There

To access Email Analytics:

  1. From the Home, click the Manage option at the top.
  2. Select Emails from the drop-down menu to open the Emails Manager.
  3. Click the pie chart icon to the right of the email you wish to analyze.

Reading Analytics

Setting a Date Range

  1. Click the date range in the top-right corner of the Email Analytics page.
  2. Choose a pre-defined date range or enter a custom range using the provided fields.
  3. Once a date range is set, all data on the page will refresh to display metrics from the selected time period.

Scoreboard

The Scoreboard spans the top of the Email Analytics page and provides a snapshot of your email's performance:

  • Sent: The number of emails sent.
  • Open Rate: The percentage of recipients who opened the email.
  • Clicks: The number of clicks on links within the email.
  • Unsubscribes: The number of recipients who unsubscribed.

Information Panes

Below the Scoreboard, several panes provide a detailed breakdown of your metrics:

Sent

  • Location: Top-left of the analytics page.
  • Displays a graph of the number of emails sent.
  • Useful for tracking:
    • Scheduled emails sent to a list (spikes typically occur on the send date).
    • Autoresponders are triggered by form submissions over time.

Opens

  • Location: Top-right of the analytics page.
  • Tracks how many times your recipients opened your email.
  • Metrics include:
    • Opens: Total number of times your email was opened.
    • Unique Opens: The number of distinct recipients who opened your email.

Clicks (Total)

  • Location: Bottom-right of the analytics page.
  • Displays the total number of clicks on any links included in your email.

Clicks (By Link)

  • Location: Bottom-left of the analytics page.
  • Provides a list of all links in your email and the corresponding number of clicks for each link.

Exporting Analytics

To export your Email Analytics as a PDF:

  1. Locate the Export as PDF link directly under the Unsubscribe pane on the Scoreboard.
  2. Click the link to begin the download process automatically.
