When using the Campaign Builder to customize your campaign, remember that all changes made (except Style Panel styling) are saved automatically. What happens, however, if you make an accidental change or would rather go back a step? No problem - just click Undo (or Redo)!
Where is it?
To find the Undo and Redo buttons, look no further than the bottom of the Edit Widgets Panel. The icon on the left is for undo, and the icon to the right is for redo:
There are a few important things to note about the undo/redo functionality:
- Undo/redo only applies to widget changes. Campaign settings and style settings are not included. (Style Panel changes can be undone/redone using the undo/redo buttons at the bottom of the Style Panel.)
- Because of the way Instant Win works, it’s exempt from undo/redo-ability. If you undo/redo changes to a Form Container Widget, its Instant Win settings will not be changed.
- There’s a limit to how long your undo/redo steps stay accessible. The time limit is currently set for 4 hours. However, the countdown doesn’t start until the campaign is no longer open in a Campaign Builder on anyone's (team member or otherwise) account.
When you undo or redo something, you will see a notification pop into the bottom-right corner of the Builder, with a short description of what action was taken.
Likewise, if you are working in the Campaign Builder with a teammate (or more than one) simultaneously, notifications will display each time a team member takes an undo/redo action as well.
What about this other set of buttons?
You may notice that there is another set of undo/redo buttons at the bottom of the Style Panel. While these look identical to the widget undo/redo, they will only work for changes made in the Style Panel.
An easy rule of thumb: If you're trying to undo a widget change - use undo at the bottom of the Edit Widgets Panel. If you're trying to undo a style change - use undo at the bottom of the Style Panel.
