Overview
Use the Product Widget to display and organize your products. The Product Widget can be configured for a single product or multiple products. Each product entry can include a title, description, image, and URL.
Setup
- Click Add New Item to open the Edit Product dialog.
- Enter a Title, URL, Product Description (which can include HTML), and PayPal or Other Code Snippet. All fields are optional.
- Click Select Image to open the Media Selector and add an image for the product. Adding an image is also optional.
- Click Save Item to save the product.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to add additional products.
Each product you configure is added to the list of products in the Edit Widget dialog. You can edit or delete products using the edit and delete icons, and rearrange the order of the products by clicking and dragging the handle to the left of the item up or down.
Layout
Choose from one of the four pre-defined layouts, the Compact, Full Size, Wide (left-aligned photos), and Wide (right-aligned photos) layouts, or choose Custom Layout to create your own. The Full Size and Wide layouts offer a Collapse Long Text option. This option cuts off long sections of text at the specified height, allowing users to click to see the full text. You can specify a pixel height in the Max Text Height box. The default height is 150px when this option is selected.
If you create your own Custom Layout, it is recommended to fine-tune the layout with CSS. You can also use CSS to override any of the pre-defined layouts.
Options
Open "More Info" links in same window
If you enter a URL for an item, ShortStack displays a More Info link with the item. By default, the link will open a new browser window. Check the Open "More Info" links in same window box to open links in the same browser window.
Shuffle products on display
The Shuffle products on display option randomly shuffles the products each time the campaign loads. This does not permanently re-sort the products, which means you can un-check the box to return to the original sort order.
Tips
The Media Selector dialog only allows one upload at a time. To upload multiple images at once, visit the Media Manager.
