Overview
Use the Rich Text Widget to add styled text to your Campaign.
Setup
Enter your text into the text field and use the toolbar to format it.
Note: If you’re familiar with HTML, you can use a Plain Text or Code Widget to enter your HTML manually.
Pasting Text into a Rich Text Widget
Copying and pasting text from an email, text document, or a Google document will override Rich Text settings from the Style Panel. To maintain styling set in the Style Panel, paste text without formatting. There are two ways to do this: using keystrokes while pasting, or using the Clear Formatting button within the Rich Text editor.
On Mac:
- Use Shift + Option + Command + V to paste without formatting.
On Windows:
- Use Command + Shift + Option + V to paste without formatting.
Clear Formatting button:
To use this option, highlight the text you've pasted, and select the Clear formatting button.
Inline Styles Detected
If you use any of the tools in the Rich Text Editor to format your text, you'll see a message at the top of the pop-up that looks like this:
This is nothing to worry about! This message is just letting you know that since you have formatted your text with the Rich Text Editor, any additional alterations you may try to make with the Style Panel will be overridden. If you don't plan on using the Style Panel to make changes to your widget, you can completely disregard this message.
If you prefer to use the Style Panel to make edits to your text, then just enter in your text without any formatting in the Rich Text Widget, and make the changes using the Style Panel instead.
