Overview
Despite its name, the Voting Widget isn’t just for voting. You can turn off voting and remove the vote count to use the Voting Widget to simply display entries.
Getting There
To turn off the vote count:
- Open the Campaign Builder for the campaign you wish to update.
- Add a Voting Widget to your Campaign, or click the pencil icon to edit an existing Voting Widget.
- Select the Options menu in the left-hand column.
- Check the Hide Vote Count box.
- Click Save & Exit.
To remove the vote button/disable voting:
- Open the Campaign Builder for the campaign you wish to update.
- Add a Voting Widget to your Campaign, or click the pencil icon to edit an existing Voting Widget.
- In the Setup section of the Voting Widget, check the Disable Voting box.
- Click Save & Exit.
Here are some uses for the Voting Widget with voting disabled:
- Display entries received during the entry period, but before the official voting period has begun (see the Best Practices document).
- Show entries from past contests.
- Show the winner of a multi-round voting contest.
