This article addresses problems you might face after publishing your campaign to Facebook.
"Please Update Your Secure App URL" Error Message
This error message appears when the Facebook app is not configured correctly during the Publish with Custom Branding process. To resolve this:
- Follow the steps at the bottom of this document to Reconfigure a Custom Published Campaign.
- Test the campaign again.
Campaign is Blank
Diagnostic Step #1
Visibility settings being set in such a way that no widgets are visible to certain users is a common cause of a blank app. To check for this:
- Visit the campaign in the Campaign Builder.
- Toggle the Visibility Settings in Preview Mode to make sure that at least one widget is visible to everyone.
- If there are no widgets visible even after toggling settings in Preview Mode, you'll want to manually check the Visibility Settings for each widget in your campaign. You can find these by opening the widget settings popup for each widget, and clicking Visibility on the left hand side.

Usually when a campaign published to Facebook is blank, it’s because the Facebook app was not configured correctly during the Publishing with Custom Branding process. To resolve this:
- Follow the steps at the bottom of this document to Reconfigure a Custom Published Campaign.
- Test the campaign again.
Reconfigure a Custom Published Campaign
To automatically re-configure the Facebook app for a campaign published with custom branding:
- Load the app in the Campaign Builder.
- Click the Campaign Settings icon at the top of the screen.
- Select the Custom Publish menu from the column at the left.
- Click Save without making any changes.
- If that doesn't work, you may want to unpublish the campaign from your Facebook Page and try publishing it again from scratch.
