When you need a stock image for an Image Widget, the background of a container, or anywhere else in your campaign, ShortStack provides you with access to a library of stock images from Pixabay, integrated directly into the Media Selector.
In this example, we’ll walk you through selecting an image to use in an Image Widget. The process will be the same if you’re using the Media Selector for other purposes.
Getting There
To access the Pixabay stock image library:
- Click the Image Widget icon in the Add Widgets Panel to add a new Image Widget to your campaign.
- In the widget settings window that pops up, click the Select Image icon to open the Media Selector.
- At the top of the Media Selector window, click the Pixabay tab to enter the Pixabay stock image library.
You’ll now have access to all the images Pixabay has to offer. Hover over any image to see a tooltip with its dimensions (in pixels) and file size.
If you want to adjust the size of the preview thumbnails, use the slider bar on the right.
Searching for Images
Finding the right image in the Pixabay library is simple:
- Use the search box on the right side of the Media Selector.
- Type a keyword (e.g., "puppies") and press Enter/Return on your keyboard.
- The results will display all the images related to your search term.
