When you need a stock image for an Image Widget, for the background of a container, or anywhere else in your campaign - we now have access to a library of stock images from Pixabay right there in the Image Selector. In this doc, we'll explain how to find and use these images in your campaigns.
In this example, we'll be selecting an image to plug into the Image Widget - but the process will be the same if you're using the Image Selector for something else.
To start, click the Image Widget icon in the Add Widgets Panel to add a new Image Widget to your campaign.
In the settings window that pops up for the widget, click on the Select Image button to bring up the Image Selector.
At the top of the Image Selector window, you'll see a tab labeled Pixabay - click that to enter the Pixabay stock image library.
Now you'll have access to all of the images Pixabay has to offer! If you hover over any of the images, you'll see a pop-up indicating the size of the image (in pixels).
If you want to change the size of the preview images, use the slider bar on the left.
Using the Search and Filters
There are a couple of ways to search the Pixabay library for the specific picture you need. The first way is to use the search box on the right side. For example, if you type in "puppies" and hit Enter, you'll be greeted with all the images having to do with puppies.
If you'd rather look through images by category, use the Category drop-down menu to filter through images by category.
If you want to narrow images down to a category and also search for a specific term within that category, you can absolutely do that. We've narrowed down our search here to "puppies" within the "business" category.
Pixabay also allows you to narrow your search by Image Type, using the dropdown to the left of the Category dropdown. You can choose between photo, illustration, or vector images.
Just like the Category filter, you can also mix and match the Image Type filter with the search and/or the Category filter. Here we've selected "illustration" and kept our search of "puppies", but cleared out the category filter.
To use any of the images is easy! Simply click on the image you want to use (you can select up to five at a time), then click the blue Save to Media Library button in the bottom-right corner. This will save the selected image(s) to your media library.
Once you've saved the image to your library, you'd just add it to your Image Widget by selecting it and clicking the blue Select button in the bottom-right corner. This will place the image into your widget!
From there, you'd just need to click the blue Save & Exit button, and you're all done!
