Layout
The Feeds Manager houses all of the feeds that you've set up to collect entries using hashtags on Instagram. There's also a button you can click to create a new feed.
Feeds
Your feeds will appear on the right-hand side. Each info pane will show you the following information:
- The name of the feed
- Clicking on the name of the feed will open the feed in the Feed Editor so it can be edited.
- Clicking on the name of the feed will open the feed in the Feed Editor so it can be edited.
- The last time the feed was updated
- The name of the list in which entries are being stored for the feed
- Clicking the name of the list will open it in the Entries Manager.
- Clicking the name of the list will open it in the Entries Manager.
- The hashtag(s) being collected for the feed
- Whether the feed is running or ended
- The last time the feed was refreshed
- The start and end times between which the feed will collect entries
If you hover over the feed's name, you'll see an edit icon to the right; click this to rename the feed. Type the new name, then click the blue checkmark button to lock it in.
Clicking the icon on the right will open the feed in the Feed Editor so you can make changes; next to that icon, a drop-down menu is available with more options for managing the feed.
Additional Feed Options
By clicking the arrow to open the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of any feed, you'll get these additional options.
Add Entry
If the feed misses a post for some reason, you can add it manually using the Add Entry option. Clicking it will open a pop-up where you can add the post URL and Entry description, then click Import Entry to add it to the feed.
Permissions
If you're using ShortStack for Teams to grant access of your account assets to other teammates, clicking Permissions is where you can set the specific access levels of your feeds for your team members.
Delete
By clicking Delete, you can remove the feed from your account entirely. This doesn't remove the entries from the list you created with the feed, or the list itself - just the feed.
Note: Deleting feeds is permanent, so make absolutely sure you no longer need the feed before completing the deletion.
Search & Filtering
Use the Search field in the top-left corner of the page to look through your feeds using a single word or phrase. The Tag field allows you to search through your feeds by simply typing in a tag that's attached to one or more feeds. Your results will automatically be displayed on the right.
Use the filtering options to filter your feeds using the statuses of Running, Ended, or Error. Any feeds listed under the Error status generally will need the Instagram account used for the feed to be reauthorized.
Sorting
To sort the feeds, click the button next to the number of feeds at the top. Your options are to sort your feeds by Recently Edited, Status, Recently Refreshed, Newest, and Oldest.
Creating a New Feed
To create a new email, click the New Feed button in the top-right corner of the screen.
This will bring up the Feed Editor in a pop-up so that you can build a new feed. For more information on creating new feeds, check out the Creating and Managing an Instagram Hashtag Feed article in our help docs.
Working With Feeds
There are a couple other options available when working with feeds; you'll see the bar appear up top when you've clicked a feed to highlight it.
Tag
Clicking the Tag button will allow you to add tags to all of the selected feeds. It also has an area that shows you all the tags already applied to the feeds. Just type the tags you wish to add (with a comma between each), hit Enter/Return on your keyboard, then click the blue Save button.
Delete
The other available option is just another way to delete feeds; if you'd like to delete multiple feeds at once, click each one to highlight it, then click the Delete button up top. You'll be asked to type in a short phrase to confirm, then click the red Delete button to finalize the deletion.
Note: Again - deleting feeds is permanent, so make absolutely sure you no longer need the feeds before deleting them.
