Archiving and Deleting Content in ShortStack
Whether you need to clear space for your entry allowance or keep your account organized, ShortStack provides options to archive or delete campaigns, entries, lists, custom fields, and other account content.
Archiving Content
Archiving is a great option if you don’t need to delete content permanently but want to hide it for organizational purposes. Follow these steps:
How to Archive Content
- Open the appropriate Manager for your content (e.g., Campaigns Manager, Lists Manager).
- Click the info pane of the item you want to archive. The selected item will be highlighted in gray.
- A gray bar with additional options will appear at the top.
- Click Archive to hide the selected content. It will no longer appear in your list.
Viewing & Restoring Archived Content
- Open the appropriate Manager and check the Show Archived box in the filtering options.
- Archived content will appear on the right side of the screen.
- To restore content:
- Click the info pane of the item you want to restore.
- Click Restore in the gray bar at the top.
- The content will return to your regular view.
Note:
- Archiving is available for campaigns, lists, emails, and fields.
- Entries in archived lists still count toward your plan's entry allowance.
- Archived fields cannot be restored.
Deleting Content
If you’re certain you won’t need specific content in the future, you can delete it permanently.
How to Delete Content
- Open the appropriate Manager for your content.
- Click the info pane of the item you want to delete. The item will be highlighted in gray.
- A gray bar with additional options will appear at the top.
- Click Delete, and a confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click Delete to permanently remove the content or Cancel to keep it.
Alternative Deletion Options
- Click the arrow icon in the upper-right corner of the info pane.
- Select Delete from the drop-down menu.
Deleting Entries (Entries Manager)
The Entries Manager includes a Delete All option for bulk deletion:
- Click the Actions button in the upper-right corner.
- Select Delete All to remove all entries currently shown in the Entries Manager.
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up by typing the required prompt and clicking Delete.
Important Notes
Once content is deleted, it cannot be restored.
Archiving is recommended if you're unsure whether you'll need the content in the future.
Deletion is not available for:
- Custom Domains Manager.
- Tags Manager.
- Field Library.
Accidentally Deleted Content?
If you accidentally delete content, contact Support at theteam@shortstacklab.com immediately. While deletions are usually permanent, our team may be able to help if contacted quickly.
