Wrong Image/Text Displays When Sharing to Facebook from the Share Widget on the Campaign

I have updated the image and/or text within the Share Widget. I clicked Publish Changes and the correct image/text appears for all of the platforms except Facebook. The wrong image and/or text displays when I try to share from the Share Widget on the Campaign to Facebook.

  Answer from ShortStack Support: You will need to run the Share URL through Facebook's Debugger. Here are the instructions:

  1. Open the live Campaign
  2. Click the Facebook Icon to share
  3. Expand the popup so you can see the entire URL in the address bar
  4. Copy the portion of the URL that occurs after u=
  5. Find a decoder online - I use http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/
  6. Enter the URL in the box that you have copied in step 4 into the decoder
  7. Click Decode
  8. Copy the URL that displays
  9. Open the Facebook Debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
  10. Enter the URL you copied from the Decoder
  11. Click Fetch New Scrape Information
  12. Test the Share button again to make sure the correct information is showing
