What is ShortStack?
ShortStack is a “Software as a Service” tool used to create campaigns that you can publish anywhere on the web. To design, publish and manage your campaigns, simply log in to shortstackapp.com.
ShortStack Main Menu
Here’s a brief summary of the sections you’ll find in ShortStack’s main menu:
The Dashboard is where you can view data for active campaigns. It should look familiar, as it's the first page you'll be directed to when you log in.
The Campaign Builder is where you design and publish a campaign. Clicking the hammer icon in the Main Menu will bring you directly to the last campaign you were working on.
The Campaigns Manager, or Campaigns for short, is where you manage campaigns and create new ones. There is also a table of all the campaigns you have created previously that shows a range of information.
Here you can view, filter, and export your Entries from all of the campaigns on your account. You can also use the entry picker, and copy your entries to new lists.
Here you can create new Lists, edit the ones you’ve already created, and view and export submitted entries.
Feeds are available on our Agency Plan or higher. The Feeds section displays the various Instagram and Twitter hashtag feeds that you currently pulling in the content for, or that you have used in the past. Click to learn more about Feeds.
ShortStack hosts and organizes all of your media files in your Media Manager. The Media Manager accepts PNG, JPG, GIF, MP3, PDF, XML, SWF, JS, and CSS files that are under ten (10) megabytes. The Media Manager lets you browse all your media files, upload new ones, and delete them.
The Tags Manager displays all of the tags you're using to organize your campaigns, lists, feeds, media, and entries. Each tag also displays how many pieces of content is connected to it.
Templates are pre-made campaigns you can use as the basis for your campaigns. You can choose from designs that we’ve made (from our Template Gallery - shown below), or you can choose designs that you’ve created.
When browsing Public Templates, you can hover over a thumbnail for more options. Once you click Use this Template, you are directed to the Campaign Builder so that you can customize the campaign.
When you've created a design that you really like, you can save it in the Style Panel as a Theme. This way, it's easy to use the same design aesthetic in multiple campaigns. The Themes section shows you all of the custom Themes you've created, and allows you to manage and use them.
To manage your account, click your name in the top-right corner of ShortStack. Here you can upgrade or downgrade your plan (Upgrade), change your billing and contact information (Account Summary), and manage your ShortStack preferences (Preferences). Read the Managing Your Account doc for more information.
